Donald Harmon Hauri, Sr. of West Valley, NY died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence at the age of 89.
He was born February 25, 1929 in Collins, NY a son of the late Harmon Adolph and Edith (Taft) Hauri. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a founding member of the Calvary Community Chapel in Delevan. He was very dedicated to his family and his farm.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife - Delores (Scharf) Hauri who he married June 8, 1957 in West Valley; his children: Donald (Cindy) Hauri, Jr. of Horseheads, Gordon (Marjorie) Hauri of East Otto, Jeanne (Don) Ford of West Valley, Fred (Terri) Hauri of West Valley, Cassandra (Rick) Bochenek of Cattaraugus and Maella (Don MacMillan) Reynolds of East Otto; also survived by a sister-in-law: Vera Hauri of Springville; 22 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Edward Hauri, Florence (Dick) Langworthy and Nona (Ken) Salzler and a great-grandson.
Friends may call Friday, April 20, 2018 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville where a Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM. Rev. Tim Chase will officiate.
