Roy James Bly, of Springville, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 75.
He was born June 24, 1942 in Springville, NY- a son to the late Vernon and Maude (nee Milks) Bly.
Roy was born and raised on a dairy farm in West Valley. After the death of his mother, he lived with his brother Norm (Linda) Bly, where he worked on clocks with Norm for 36 years. He was known for his infectious smile and handshake while greeting customers. He loved to put puzzles together, drive tractors, and take long walks. He had a large collection of stuffed animals and loved to listen to and play country music.
He is survived by his siblings: Virgil Bly; Donald (Norma) Rowland; Bruce Bly; Dean (Patricia) Bly; Norman (Linda) Bly; Betty Allard; Carol Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Carl.
There are no calling hours. A service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
