Phyllis A. Adanti, formerly of Springville, died Thursday December 29, 2016 at The Pines of Machias at the age of 91.
She was born January 30, 1925 in Lackawanna, New York a daughter of the late Levi and Sarah (nee Gallineau) Stauffer. She was a cashier at the Super Duper in Springville and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Her husband - Patrick V. Adanti whom she married September 3, 1942 died August 28, 2005.
She is survived by her children - Daniel (Pam) Adanti of Springville, William (Marie) Adanti of New York, Lee (Nancy) Adanti of Amherst, Kim E. (Charlie) McCormick of North Java; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers - Harry and Ned Stauffer and a sister - Norma Jones.
There are no calling hours. Private graveside services in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville will be held at the convenience of the family.
